There have actually been quite a few Welsh celebrities to come out of Wales in the past few years or so. There many that havent of course. Here is just a small list on some of the best ones that have proved to be very successful.

The Brilliant Christian Bale

It is pretty hard to believe that this hollywood actor was born in Wales. Although he really didn’t spend too much time in the country as he left when he was two he was born there which is why he certainly has to be on this list. Many people are shocked when they find out that his father was a pilot and his mother a circus clown. At just the gae of two he left Wales and spent a long while in England, Portugal and of course the USA. The top films that he has done have to be American Psycho, Batman Begins and Batman: The Dark Knight and of course Equilibrium.

Duffy (Aimee Duffy)

Aimee Duffy was born in 1984 and is an extremely successful singer-songwriter. So far she has only produced one album but it came in at number one in the UK chart immediately upon release. Duffy actually grew up speaking Welsh as her mother tongue which isnt too common to see in Wales nowadays. The name Aimee was dropped a long while back for both personal and professional reasons.

Catherine-Zeta-Jones

Another welsh actor here and was born in Swansea in 1969. She left school early to go after her dream of becoming an actor. The Mask of Zorro, Chicago and The Legend of Zorro are just some of her best films that she is very well known for being in.

So there it is, just the first half of the most famous people that have come from Wales and went on to become very rich people.
